Animation Job Description: Animation is the rapid display of a sequence of images of 2-D or 3-D artwork or model positions in order to create an illusion of movement. It is an optical illusion of motion due to the phenomenon of persistence of vision, and can be created and demonstrated in a number of ways. The most common method of presenting animation is as a motion picture or video program, although several other forms of presenting animation also exist.

Qualifications needed: Go to college an study Digital media and get a degree from that or go to university and study for a degree aswell.

Sources of information: There are a number of different career paths for animators. We often think of animators as the talented artists who create the cartoons we love, either for film or movies. Animators continue to work in these areas, but increasingly, many are employed creating animated graphics for a variety of projects.

  1. Your descriptions are very good but you have not written anything about progression from the jobs studied. Writing is very pale on pale background. Think it would benefit from a change of colour in order that I did not have to strain my eyes reading.
